Pizza Oven Distributor Launches Portable Pizza Business Workshop
The Fire Within, the nation’s leading manufacturer of portable wood-fired pizza ovens announced today the first in a series educational, hands-on workshops for entrepreneurs interested in live event pizza catering and concessions.
The workshop, designed and taught by “The Fire Within’s” founder, Joseph Pergolizzi, will include guest instructors Billy Manzo, member of the World Pizza Team and owner of The Federal Hill Pizza Company, as well as Antonio Laudisio, a well known Pizzaiolo who has appeared on Food Network specials and is the owner of Laudisio’s in Boulder, CO.
Laudisio Treats CU Students to Lunch!
A beautiful Spring afternoon in April found Antonio Laudisio in the heart of CU campus dishing out pizza to crowds of students.
"It was a huge treat," said one hungry student. "It's not often someone gives us stuff for free, and nothing is better than free pizza!"
Antonio and his helpers brought their portable pizza oven, and for more than three hours kept a steady flow of piping hot pies, feeding hundreds of CU students, faculty, and staff.

Woodshop Feature Film Premiere Draws Star Jesse Ventura, Cast & Crew to Boulder, February 15
Our friends at 42 Productions, producers of the Cooking With Laudisio Show, are unveiling their independent feature comedy,Woodshop, right here in Boulder!
Woodshop is the first feature film from Boulder-based 42 Productions, who provide complete film and video production and post-production services for Fortune 500 clients. The picture was directed, written and produced by Pete Coggan; utilized Colorado locations; and features a number of local, young actors.
The red carpet premiere of Woodshop, starring Jesse Ventura, Mitch Pileggi, Don S. Davis, and Denver Bronco Rod Smith, will be held Sunday, February 15 at 6:30 pm in the Atlas Building, a world-class media facility on the University of Colorado campus in Boulder. The premiere is invite only, but the Red Carpet celebration is open to the public. Come see the stars in Boulder, and support the local artists at 42 Productions!

Winner of Wine Spectator Magazine Award
Laudisio recently received the Wine Spectator Magazine's "Award of Excellence" for 2008. This award is given to restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers.
Laudisio was one of 3,254 winners chosen nationwide, and the only Boulder restaurant to receive this award for having a well-chosen selection of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.
News From Our Kitchen:
All of us at Laudisio are excited to welcome back Executive Chef Sakima Isaac. Chef Isaac, who has been with Laudisio since 2000, spent the better part of this year in Northern Italy, helping former Laudisio Chef Cameron Grant open a restaurant of his own. Profumodi Vino, in Piemonte, was successfully opened earlier this year.
Chef Isaac returns to Boulder just as former Executive Chef Brian Lockwood has accepted a position with The French Laundry. The French Laundry, located in the Napa Valley of California, is owned by world famous Chef Thomas Keller. It is truly a privilege to be invited to join such a renowned team of chefs!
Everyone at Laudisio is extremely proud of the accomplishments of all our current and former Chefs, and are thrilled to welcome Chef Sakima Isaac back into our Boulder restaurant family!
"Cooking with Laudisio"
Unfortunately, the final episode of "Cooking with Laudisio" has aired. There is, however, interest in the show, and we may not have seen the last of our traveling television chefs!
